Did you know that the wise men were way ahead of their time? That's right, they brought baby Jesus eco-friendly gifts. Frankincense and myrrh, valued for their fragrance, are resins derived from tree sap. Today we use resins for many other things than delicious smelling gifts, one example is 3form's translucent resin materials.

3form manufactures sustainable resin products that can be used indoors or out. Currently, the resin panels are showing up outdoors mainly in commercial settings, but could have a future in residential landscapes. The panels are made of 40% or more recycled content and come in virtually any color or design. The Varia Ecoresin Organics would be especially interesting to use outdoors. These feature organic materials such as bamboo, banana fibers, grass, birch twigs and more suspended within the resin panels.

The panels could be used in numerous ways. Consider integrating them into a custom gate design, using them as fencing, or positioning them to serve as a privacy screen. On some projects, 3form's products have even been used as shade structures. At night, the resin panels can be lit, turning them into an artistic element.

You too can be a wise man by using recycled resin panels. While they won't smell as good as frankincense and myrrh, they will look pretty sharp. Plus, it's been known for centuries that resins make great Christmas presents.
