The budget for this patio was $42,000. The homeowner wanted a space where she could comfortably entertain friends and family outdoors. Included in the cost was a custom-built gas fireplace, two raised beds and clay pavers with brick banding. The raised bed on the left was planted with evergreens to provide instant screening, while the bed on the right offers space for growing herbs. Additionally, the walls of the raised beds are just the right height to serve as extra seating. Finally, a stub with a quick-connect adapter was included in one of the beds so that the owner could roll out and fire up her large paella cooker during parties.
